Kick off your child’s musical journey with a fun, hands-on introduction to rhythm. This engaging percussion class invites kids to explore instruments like shakers, bells, wood blocks, and hand drums—learning simple rhythms while building coordination, listening skills, and confidence.

At the center of the experience is the djembe, a drum known for bringing people together and creating a shared sense of groove. Through playful, guided exploration, kids will connect with rhythm, movement, and each other in a supportive and energetic environment.

🌟 What kids will experience:

• Play a variety of percussion instruments

• Learn simple rhythms and grooves

• Build confidence, coordination, and focus

• Make music together in a fun, social setting

This class is offered as part of the Boulder Symphony Music Academy’s Instrument Discovery Camp, where students explore a different instrument family each day—taught by professional musicians.
