This drop-in is all about connection and feel 🌊 — less about drilling parts, more about understanding how everything flows together as one living system 🔄
We’ll cycle through a variety of West African rhythms from Mali 🇲🇱 and Guinea 🇬🇳 — with each class focusing on one rhythm at a time so we can really settle into it, feel it, and understand how it works 🌀
🔍 We’ll explore:
🥁 How the dundun and bell parts lock in 🔔
🧵 How djembe parts weave into the groove
❤️🔥 Finding the downbeat and riding the pulse
🧠 Simple “keystone rhythms” that unlock creativity
Think of it like stepping into rhythm as a map 🗺️ and a conversation 🗣️ — feeling how each part supports the whole 🌐
🎒 What to bring:
✨ Good energy
🥁 A drum (if you have one)
🔥 Your rhythm spirit
Come as you are 🙏
Let’s tap in and play 🎶🔥
